8 Days Uganda classic with combination of White Water Rafting

This of tour 8 days Uganda will give you an opportunity of game viewing and Gorilla trekking safari and White Water Rafting. You will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Lake Bunyonyi national park and lastly to Jinja region for white  water  rafting  adventure


Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe international airport – Kampala 

Upon  your  arrival  at  Entebbe  International  Airport this morning you  will  be  met and received our warm welcome by  our representative  and  safari  driver  guide  for  your  transfer  to  your  hotel  in Kampala  for check-in, relaxation  and  briefings  about  your  safari.

Later  have  lunch  and  go  for  Kampala evening  city  Kampala  city  tour  to  explore  the  historical  places  of  Uganda  such  as  Kabaka’s palace  and  Amin  torture chambers,  Namugongo  martyr’s  shrines,  Uganda  National  Museum, Kasubi  tombs  (the  burial  ground  for  the  Buganda  Kings  one  of  the  UNESCO’S  recognized sight).

Dinner and overnight at the hotel (HB)

Day 2: Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast our safari driver guide will pick you from your hotel at 0600 hrs and drive south west via Masaka and Mbarara to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This journey will take approximately 5-6 hours. As you drive along the way enjoy the beautiful sceneries and see Ugandan’s way of life in their traditional homesteads and farms.  Have lunch from  Igongo  cultural  center. Later on continue  with  drive  to  your destination Queen Elizabeth and arrive for an enroute game drive, nature walk to the beautiful crater lakes of the park.

Proceed to the lodge for dinner and an overnight (FB)

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Morning Chimpanzee tracking – Afternoon Boat Cruising on Kazinga Channel

Breakfast, followed by a morning guided chimpanzee tracking walk through tropical forest of Kalinzu to spend a half day while tracking chimpanzee, bird viewing, hiking and exploring this  forest.  Have  a  short  break  for  lunch  and  then  go  for  2  hours  afternoon  boat  cruise  on Kazinga  Channel,  which  joins  the two Lakes namely; Edward and George,  it give you the best opportunity to  take pictures since the boat drifts slowly just by the shores of the channel.

Kazinga Channel supports the biggest number of Hippos in Africa and Crocodiles also during the afternoon boat ride,  you  can spot  large herds of African Elephants, Cape Buffaloes, antelopes as they come here to drink water. It is also a paradise for the bird lovers.

Later  in  the  evening  go  to  Kasenyi  track  for  an  evening  game  drive which  is  popular  as  a mating  ground  for  the  Uganda  Kobs  and  a  hunting  ground  for the  big  cats  and  if  it  is  a lucky day for you, might find predators in action.

Return back to the lodge for dinner and over night (FB)

Day  4:  Queen  Elizabeth National Park-Ishasha sector – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast, check-out and head out to Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is proudly known for harboring the “tree climbing lions”.

After  meeting  face  to  face  with  these  amazing  trees  climbing  lions  drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national Park the well known as the Switzerland of Africa and the home to the a half of the world’s mountain gorillas, have lunch and later go for community encounter to support the orphanage families. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight (FB)

Day 5: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – Morning Gorilla trekking –Transfer to

Lake Bunyonyi

This day you’ll wake up early in the morning for breakfast and depart for the pre trek Gorilla briefings at the park Headquarters. Later go for your long time awaited activity “Gorilla trekking” the time taken while trekking is not known but it is expected to be between2-8 hours depending on the movement of the Gorilla family you are allocated to. During the trek expect to discover other primates such as Chimpanzees, black and white colombus monkey, vervet monkey just to name a few.

On  encounter,  spend  an  hour  of  exhilarating  moments  with  these  gentle  giants.

Return to the lodge/camp for lunch. Then leave Bwindi behind and drive to Lake Bunyonyi where over 200 bird species have been recorded. “Bunyonyi” actually means “the place of many little birds” Lake Bunyonyi is one of the few African lakes completely safe for swimming and canoeing (FB)

Day 6: Lake Bunyonyi –Kampala City with en-route stop at Igongo cultural center and Kayabwe Equator crossing point.

After  breakfast, check-out  and  proceed to your next destination on  the  way to  Kampala  the scenic drive  will  take  you  through  beautiful  landscapes  of  the  western  region  of  Uganda  and  herds  of Ankole  cattle  with  their  incredible  long  curving  horns, you shall have an en-route stop at Igongo cultural center a place with first hand information about the Ankole Kingdom have lunch at this point and make a museum tour the proceed with the drive to Kampala but before then you will have another stopover at the Equator crossing center (Kayabwe) for water experiment and photography moments since it is the best spot to take a memorial photo. Then continue with the journey to check in at your hotel in Kampala for dinner and an overnight.

Day 7: Kampala capital – Jinja town – Half day white water rafting.

Breakfast, check-out from your hotel and drive to Jinja for white water rafting but before Jinja along the way visit Mabira Rainforest reserve the only green tropical forest in the central region later continue with the drive to Jinja town for lunch and then embark for a half day afternoon white water rafting one of the most adrenaline adventurous and trilling activities which you must not miss on your tour after this tour return to the hotel for relaxation and dinner.

Day 8: Jinja town – Explore the source of river Nile –Entebbe international airport

Today you shall have relaxed breakfast and drive to explore Source of the Nile on a boat to the exact spot where the Nile waters starts to flow and pour into the Mediterranean Sea.

Later drive back to Kampala with an en-route tour to  the  spectacular Sezibwa  Falls  a  cultural  heritage  site  of  the  Buganda  Kingdom  that  is  rich with traditional folklore as shall be narrated by the site guide. Later in the afternoon have lunch and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your homeward flight.
