Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Entebbe International Airport

Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport you will receive a warm welcome from our representative and safari guide who will transfer you to the hotel reserved for you in Kampala. The 12 days safari briefing will be done right before dinner at the hotel where you will be spending the night.

Day 2: Kampala –Murchison Falls National park


After breakfast you shall begin the panoramic drive Northwest through the famous Luwero Triangle, en-route stop to visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This visit will provide you with an opportunity to go closer to these peaceful giants to have clearer view and photo moment. Later proceed to Masindi Town for lunch and later drive to Murchison Falls National Park to explore the top of the falls.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park

After a mouth watering breakfast embark for morning game drive. Your driver guide will help you spot elephant, lion, cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, bohor reed buck, spotted hyena and if you are lucky, the elusive leopard after you have encountered all these best you will retire lunch.

Later on you’ll go for a boat ride upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just few meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’, marvel at the toothsome African hippos, home of crocodiles and over the 17km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob. This is also the paradise of many birds’ species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. After this amazing boat cruise experience you will have a simple evening game drive specifically in search for the big cats.

Day 4: Murchison Falls National park –Kibale Forest National park

After breakfast check out, drive to Kibale Forest National Park with an enroute morning game drive through the park and this will award you with an opportunity to see some animals you missed during previous game drive. Estimated transit time is 7 hours with frequent stops to stretch legs. The drive takes you through little towns and villages as you observe the African rhythm of life. On arrival, check in to your lodge/camp to relax and later go for an evening nature walk at Bigodi sanctuary.

Kibale forest national park is proudly known to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee. Kibale 1450 Chimpanzee represent Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate. It is also a home to the rare I’Hoest’s monkey. Other primates include the black and white Colobus monkey, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey and Olive baboon.

Day 5: Kibale National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park

This morning you will have breakfast then transfer to Kibale Forest National Park  Head quarters for briefing before setting off for a forest walk in search for chimpanzees. The forest walk will be guided to provide information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on small organisms making it interesting. The walk will give you an experience with other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, lhoestes, and butterflies.

After tracking the chimpanzees, proceed to the lodge for lunch, followed by commence drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the park is nestled between two lakes namely George and Edward with the Kazinga channel joining the two, its lush Savannah offers prime grazing ground for the African cape buffaloes, African elephants and various antelopes, the parks hosts over 600 bird species, on a clear day there are chances of viewing the Ruwenzori mountains and its snow peak.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early rise today, 06:00am grab your breakfast and out to catch the lions, hyenas hunting before they disappear into the thickets. Other animals to see on the game drive are cape buffalo, the Uganda kob, warthog, elephant, waterbuck and if lucky the elusive leopard.

At 03:00pm, take a cruise on the Kazinga channel a haven for over 600 bird types, hippo and crocodile. Later on continue with evening game drive through Kasenyi tracker and this will be specifically to search for the big hunters of the park such as Lions, Leopard, Spotted hyenas and many others since evening is their prime time to looking for their survival and expect to find them in action.

Return for relaxation to mesmerized your day’s adventure.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park –Bwindi National Park

This day continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park a home to the half of the world’s Mountain Gorillas with a game drive through Ishasha sector to search for the amazing tree climbing lions proceed with the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park for the thrilling mountain gorilla experience.

Arrive for check- in, relax and if time allows go for an evening village walk or souvenir     shopping in the local craft shops.

Day 8: Bwindi National Park –Lake Bunyonyi – Evening canoeing

After an early breakfast (06:45am), head to the information center for a briefing before embarking on the long awaited trek. Gorilla trekking may last only for 3 hours or up to 8 hours or more of the day sometimes with rain overhead so be prepared with sturdy hiking boots, waterproof jacket. After a satisfactory trek, return to camp for freshen up and lunch and drive to Lake Bunyonyi for evening canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 9: Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast leave Lake Bunyonyi behind and drive to Lake Mburo National Park the best place in the country to see the common eland, as zebra, topi, impala, and several acacia-associated birds species.

Wildlife at Lake Mburo National Park includes: the elusive leopard, jackals, hyenas, zebra and the newly introduced giraffes among others. Drive straight to the lodge/camp to have lunch relax as you are viewing the park and in the evening go for an amazing game drive in search for the wildlife of the park. Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda with few predators and it is the best for biking and nature walk safaris all at an extra cost.

Day 10: Lake Mburo National Park – Kampala

Wake up for breakfast before going out on horseback riding safari– a nature walk on horses for 2 hours in the park accompanied by a ranger will be one of the best since you get the opportunity to get closer to the inhabitants of the park and photo moment. Return to the lodge for check-out and then embark on the drive to Entebbe with a stopover at Kayabwe equator point for a brief stopover and to buy souvenirs for your friends and relatives.

Day 11: City tour

After your breakfast, have a city tour and explore different cultural and historical sites in Uganda such as Kabaka’s palace, Amin’s torturing chamber, Uganda museum among others.

After your breakfast, you will be driven to Entebbe international airport to catch up with your homeward flight.
